How small, consistent actions turn into long-term business growth

Suppose someone offered you the choice between one million dollars today or a single penny that doubled every day for 31 days, which would you choose?
It sounds like a no-brainer.
But if you picked the second option, after 31 days, you’d have over ten million dollars ($10,737,418.24 to be exact).
Isn’t it crazy?
We often overlook the power of the compounding effect, but a little really goes a long way, and that’s valid for anything you commit to doing.
Quoting James Clear from a recent issue of his newsletter:
“Running one mile has more in common with running a marathon than sitting at home. Investing $100 has more in common with being a millionaire than being broke. Writing one sentence has more in common with writing a book than never writing one.”
Starting is always difficult and feels so far away from the big goals. But doing nothing builds nothing.
Every business starts with an idea (and probably a bad one, until it became good enough).
When it comes to your content strategy, it’s no different.
One post feels like it gets lost in the overwhelming social media traffic. Your first newsletter seems like nobody will read it or care about it. Your first blog post will seem like a drop in the ocean.
But then… you keep going, and the compounding kicks in.
A little, repeated with strategy, clarity, and intention, becomes a lot. That’s where the results live.
When I started this newsletter, it felt like shouting into the void. That annoying voice in my head insisted, “Nobody will be interested… I’ll be talking to myself!”.
But here I am, 5 months later, writing issue #10, with 200 subscribers who decided to stick around.
So, thank you for opening, reading, replying, and being part of this loop with me.
And this isn’t just true for me.
In February 2025, one of my clients had around 10k followers on LinkedIn. They were already doing great work, but weren’t seeing much traction from the platform.
Six months of steady, strategic content later, their profile grew 12%, but more importantly, they now have a steady flow of new prospects coming directly from LinkedIn.
Not because of one viral post, or one lucky break. But because of small, consistent steps that compounded over time.
A small, consistent effort done with clarity and purpose adds up to a substantial result.
That’s the real magic of content strategy, and honestly, of almost everything in life.

The section where I share something I’ve been reading, watching, or thinking about — a spark that opened a new loop for me and might do the same for you.
I love podcasts. They usually keep me company during my lunch breaks. But I’m a video podcast kinda person… and, apparently, I’m not the only one.
I came across an article about how YouTube has quietly become the biggest player in podcast distribution, even overtaking Apple and Spotify in some ways.
The interesting part is how the audience discovers them.
YouTube’s algorithm is pushing podcasts into feeds the same way it pushes videos, making podcasts less of a “find it on purpose” medium and more of a “stumble upon it” medium.
It made me wonder: What does this mean for businesses that want to get into podcasting? Should we start thinking of podcasts less like audio shows and more like video content with audio as the bonus?
I don’t have a full answer yet, but it’s definitely a loop that’s now open in my head.
